My best friend didn’t want the first dance at her wedding to be boring, so so my gift to her and her husband to be was a couple of dance lessons in preparation for the big day! They worked with a choreographer and designed something personal to them. It was fantastic when they performed it on the day – they even got some comedy moments in there!
There is a plant called ‘The-Mother-In-Law Tongue’ which looks great in any home. I bought it for my new son in law as a wedding present to add a little comedy – he tells me he waters it every day! (which is far too frequently and tells me he’s clearly trying to kill it).
You basically upload a photo to the Royal Mail’s website and you get a sheet of stamps with your photo attached to send out. Great for wedding invitations, christening presents, valentines – anything! For my brother’s wedding, I got a printed set of stamps with him and my sister in law on so that they could use them to send out their thank you cards. Was a really nice idea.
traditional Turkish idea – for my friends wedding my friends and I paid for a fantastic make-up artist. She really appreciated it because weddings are so expensive and she looked gorgeous! Lots of family members paid for something, rather than another toaster! So a really good way to help someone pay for the wedding
Celebrate their new life together by giving them a gift of a tree – I bought a willow sapling for my sister and her partner when they got married – was a really nice present – would also work for a christening
