There is a range of plush toy animals available through the WWF online shop, and all the profits from their sale go towards the WWF’s conservation work. Some plush toys also offer a discounted price for adopting a real animal, so you are helping both the recipient and the planet by buying one!
Adopt a feathered friend with WWT (Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust) – you can get anything from a flamingo to a swan and adopt it starting from £2 a month – much cleaner than a real pet and much less hassle – plus youre doing a good thing for nature. They give you certificates and passes to come and visit it so a good deal.
You may not like this idea – but theres so much great vintage clothing and you can get some real finds – plus its a good cause, plus you get more for your money. I bought a Laura Ashley dress for my mum – it was in fantastic condition and she really liked it – cost me under a fiver!
