Gift treasure hunt

By |November 21st, 2015|

This was great fun for my 8 year old – we bought about 10 gifts and hid them around the house and garden. He had so much fun following the clues to find them – would really recommend as something extra special to do. Ours was pirate themed (naturally)

Personalised postage stamps

You basically upload a photo to the Royal Mail’s website and you get a sheet of stamps with your photo attached to send out. Great for wedding invitations, christening presents, valentines – anything! For my brother’s wedding, I got a printed set of stamps with him and my sister in law on so that they could use them to send out their thank you cards. Was a really nice idea.

Bluetooth printer for wedding day

By |September 5th, 2015|

Bought this for my cousin for her wedding. You set the printer up at the reception and then send it pictures you take on your mobile phone or digital camera – you then bluetooth them to the printer and it prints them! We also bought a photo album and put it next to the printer – so you actually print, stick them in, and add a message. Really nice gift that was pretty unusual. Would also be good for special anniversaries and birthdays. You can pick these up at most electronic retailers.

treehouse

Instead of the latest X-box I bought my son some wood and some nails and a cloth for a flag. I helped him do the basic structure but it is now a very good looking treehouse. Great gift idea and good for quality time. Either get a ready made one or attempt to make one yourself!

Throw a childrens party (for an adults birthday)

By |September 5th, 2015|

Did this for my friend – we played musical chairs, pass the parcel and murder in the dark, and his granddad (in the pic) won pin the tail on the donkey. Plus everyone was given a goody bag – absolutely hillarious – organised fun is the best!

Mead brewing kit

By |September 1st, 2015|

In many parts of Europe it was traditional to supply a newly married couple with enough mead for a month, ensuring happiness and fertility. From this practice we get honeymoon or, as the French say, lune de mile. So buy a mead brewing kit, or brew some mead for the newly married couple for a wedding present.

Incriminating personalised calendar

By |June 27th, 2015|

We took all the incriminating photos accrued throughout the year of our good friend Stuart and made them into a 12 month dedication to drunken shenanigans – highly recommended! You can get a small one for under ten pounds.
